CoP activities

Regular exchanges and knowledge management
As part of the CoP activities, researchers discuss specific issues. This initiative was launched at the NRP 83 kick-off meeting in October 2025, where the research teams identified the initial questions they wish to address in collaboration with other stakeholders.
To encourage regular dialogue and collaboration with other stakeholders, the following initiatives are planned:
Annual networking meeting
Peer-to-peer exchanges (workshops in working groups)
Development of a knowledge database
Establishment of a core working group to ensure the long-term sustainability of the CoP
Annual networking events
A key feature of the CoP is an annual network meeting, which usually takes place as part of the NRP 83 annual conference. The aim is to promote dialogue, networking and collaboration on shared challenges in the field of gender medicine and health. The annual networking event is also intended to help foster a shared identity within the CoP.
Peer-to-peer exchanges
Peer-to-peer exchanges provide a space for dialogue on specific challenges in research or practice. CoP members contribute their own questions, for example regarding study design, data analysis or ethical issues. The aim is to receive feedback and input from other CoP members, to foster mutual learning and trust, and to engage in solution-oriented discussions on an equal footing. Depending on needs and possibilities, these meetings take place in person or virtually.
Knowledge database
Materials, findings and experiences from the CoP on Gender Medicine and Health are to be compiled in a digital knowledge database and made publicly available. The knowledge database is envisaged as a web-based platform that will be regularly updated and expanded with findings from the CoP.
Core working group
To ensure that the CoP continues beyond the duration of NRP 83, a core working group is being established. Committed stakeholders from the fields of research, practice and politics who wish to play an active role in shaping the CoP’s structure, activities and strategic direction are invited to join the core working group.
