The SNSF and Australia launch a joint call on AI in healthcare, focusing on underserved populations and international research collaboration.

The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and Australia’s NHMRC have launched a joint call for research projects on AI-supported healthcare. The focus is on innovative approaches addressing underserved populations, including aspects related to sex, gender and sexual orientation.

Projects must be carried out collaboratively by research teams in Switzerland and Australia and can run for up to four years. On the Swiss side, up to CHF 400,000 is available per project, with around ten projects expected to be funded.

The call aims to strengthen international collaboration and promote the use of AI for more inclusive and equitable healthcare.
