Online course recommendation: Integrating Sex and Gender in Health Research and Policy

Imperial College London and the George Institute for Global Health are offering an 8-week online course on integrating sex and gender into health research and policy. The course begins on 28 September 2026.
Addressing sex and gender inequity in health research is becoming increasingly important in health research: more and more research funders around the world are making it a condition of funding that sex and gender are taken into account in study design.
The course “Integrating Sex and Gender in Health Research and Policy”, run by Imperial College London and the George Institute for Global Health, is aimed at anyone working in research, policy, clinical practice or other areas of healthcare. It provides the knowledge and skills needed to meet these new standards in terms of scientific rigour and equity.
Through this course, you will:
learn how biological sex and gender influence health outcomes throughout the entire lifespan
develop skills to design and evaluate research with a sex and gender lens
connect with a global cohort of researchers, clinicians, and policymakers
