“On Gender Medicine” – New podcast about gender medicine (in German)
New science podcast “On Gender Medicine – And why it affects all of us”, hosted by Bigna Silberschmidt, makes gender medicine accessible to a wide audience.
In the new “On Gender Medicine” podcast, journalist Bigna Silberschmidt digs into the subject of gender medicine in conversation with experts, regularly featuring topics that are also anchored in NRP 83 – whether that’s through engaging with research projects on mental or reproductive health, or drawing on the expertise of our Steering Committee.
The latest episode, on the subject of pain, features Steering Committee member Susanne Wegener, Professor and Chief Physician in the Department of Neurology University Hospital Zurich (USZ).
An earlier episode addressed the issue of mental health, asking why depression is often missed in men. This is also the subject of Dr Shauna L. Rohner’s NRP 83 research project “Beyond the barriers: Supporting men’s mental health” at the Centre of Excellence in Mental Health at the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences (OST) and of Prof Antje Horsch’s project “Inclusive healthcare for peripartal depression” at the Institute of Higher Education and Research in Healthcare (IUFRS) at the University of Lausanne.
