SSGH – making the impact of sex and gender visible
Another player in Switzerland – the Swiss Society for Gender Health (SSGH) – is getting to work, advocating for greater visibility of the two dimensions of sex and gender.
The Swiss Society for Gender Health (SSGH) is pleased to welcome the NRP 83 community. The SSGH is an organisation which advocates for integrating sex and gender into healthcare, with a focus on education, research, healthcare practice and policy. The SSGH emerged from the Swiss Gender Health Network, which was founded in 2019 and advocated for integrating sex and gender into medical and nursing curricula, and is now expanding its reach.
The SSGH is currently developing a programme of activities aimed at increasing awareness of the influence of sex and gender as healthcare factors, promoting the integration of sex and gender into health education, and leveraging the opportunities for stakeholder networking and synergy.
